System Wipe-out

| Sometimes operating systems get bogged down with extra software, whether its viruses & spyware, or otherwise. At these times it simply makes more sense to backup your data, wipe out the system and start fresh. |
- Backup all of your data (Photo's, Music, e-mail, favorites, etc)
- Backup your current drivers
- Test & scan your hard drive & Ram
- Format your hard drive
- Reinstall your operating system
- Restore your data

NOTE: We can not work on your computer if you do not have a valid user license for your Windows operating system. There is a $25,000 fine from Microsoft for pirating their software.
If you wish to switch to a Linux operating system, we can install that for you if you would like, at no additional charge.
We make every attempt to backup all data on your system. Unfortunately we are unable to take responsibility for anything that may inadvertently get missed.
You are responsible for installing your own application software.

Data Recovery

No one likes to think about it, but hard drives die, and data gets lost. The only way to prevent this is to do regular backups AND CHECK THEM!!!!
We use some unique and complex tools to try and recover data. We have had very good success with this for our clients, but sometimes even our tools are not enough to recover data from badly corrupt or damaged drives.

Why are we better then your average computer tech?
- We use some very special software to recover lost data
- We diagnose the situation before you bring the drive to us
- We know when its time to call in the pro's to save your data
- If your drive is ticking or making noise while it's on, you need Drive Savers. Any attempt to recover the data without a clean room and extremely highly trained technicians will result in data corruption or loss.
- Dead drives that will not power on will need to be taken apart and have their logic boards replaced to get them functioning again.
- Drives that have taken physical damage, will also need special help (Fire, Water, Drops, or any other mishaps.)

| Sometimes you're really not sure whats wrong with your system, you just know its not working correctly and want it fixed. We can diagnose the problems and get them fixed for you. Drop your system off at Silvergateway, and we will troubleshoot and most times have your computer back to you the next day. |

In our world of tight deadlines and hectic schedules we don't always have time to drop off our computers at the local shop. Silvergateway Services the greater Peterborough area and will come to your door to get that system up and running.

*All prices assume that the client has dropped thier computer off with Silvergateway. Onsite service work is charged at $75 an hour, starting from the time service tech leaves until the service tech returns.
